Job Title: Entry Level CNC Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC machines, specifically Okuma Lathe machines and Seiki Mills. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure quality standards are met. You will measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and monitor machine operations to maintain product quality and efficiency. You will also perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Accurate and timely completion of production logs and documentation is essential, and collaboration with team members and supervisors to meet production goals is expected.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC machines, including Okuma Lathe machines and Seiki Mills.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
+ Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
+ Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
+ Perform routine maintenance on machines and report mechanical issues.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
+ Complete production logs and documentation accurately and on time.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Essential Skills
+ Machine operation experience
+ Experience in a machine shop environment
+ Energetic and willing to train
+ Career-oriented in machining
+ Ability to lift 50lbs
+ Strong communication skills in English
+ Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience operating CNC Mills
+ Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
+ Experience with hand tools, power tools, and inspection processes

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Morton Grove, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
