Job Title: Materials Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Materials Manager to join our team, responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of materials sourcing, inventory control, and purchasing. The ideal candidate will ensure that material needs are met efficiently to support production schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
+ Direct the acquisition of materials and oversee materials inventory.
+ Supervise purchasing, inventory, receiving, production planners, and warehouse teams.
+ Develop and execute strategies for materials planning, inventory control, and purchasing.
+ Monitor and manage raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory to meet production schedules.
+ Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers; negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
+ Analyze and forecast material requirements using MRP systems and historical data.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards in all materials handling activities.
+ Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics to resolve material or supply chain issues.
+ Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost savings.
+ Conduct regular audits of inventory processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to material transactions and supplier performance.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in production, warehouse inventory, material planning, and supply chain management.
+ Experience with SAP, ERP, and MRP systems.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 5+ years of experience in materials or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
The role operates within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, utilizing state-of-the-art ERP/MRP systems and inventory software. The position requires collaboration across various departments, ensuring seamless operations and effective supply chain management.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Le Sueur, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Le Sueur,MN.
