Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing natural gas compressors and associated equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation in the Permian Basin. The work may take place in locations such as Carlsbad, Artesia, Hobbs, or Pecos, TX.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble, install, and commission natural gas compressors and related equipment.

+ Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure proper setup.

+ Perform alignment, calibration, and testing of compressor systems.

+ Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of compressors.

+ Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.

+ Replace worn parts, lubricate equipment, and adjust system settings for optimal performance.

+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

+ Respond to equipment malfunctions and emergencies.

+ Use diagnostic tools to identify root causes of failures.

+ Repair or replace defective components to restore functionality.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role with exposure to outdoor environments and industrial sites. The position may require lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods. Rotational shifts, on-call duties, and travel to remote compressor stations may be required. Day and night shifts are available, with specific schedules: Day Shift (Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday) and Night Shift (Sunday-Thursday or Friday-Tuesday). Must be on-call once per month as part of a rotating schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $72800.00/yr.
