Job Title: Building Engineer
Job Description
As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations, ensuring optimal performance in areas such as plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and maintain building systems, including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling.
+ Perform repairs and troubleshooting on HVAC and electrical systems.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
+ Respond to electrical outages and handle minor electrical work.
+ Perform HVAC work, including maintenance of cooling towers and chillers.
+ Manage minor plumbing work and address minor work requests.
+ Troubleshoot computer units and utilize carpentry skills when necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and facility maintenance.
+ Familiarity with maintenance repair and building automation.
+ Ability to respond to electrical outages and manage equipment such as generators and chillers.
+ Certified in HVAC or Electrical.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
+ Strong carpentry skills.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 3 pm, with availability for emergencies. The role is based on-site at LA Live, where you will be equipped with the necessary tools and technologies to excel in your duties.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA 90015.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
