Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for loading and unloading merchandise from trucks and containers using a fork truck. You will fulfill orders by utilizing packing slips, which includes cutting material to specified lengths. Operating power tools such as miter saws, drill press, and battery-operated tools will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments, organize and store merchandise in the warehouse, and maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety regulations and procedures. Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is also required.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload merchandise from trucks and containers using a fork truck.

+ Fulfill orders utilizing packing slips, including cutting material to specified lengths.

+ Operate power tools such as miter saws, drill press, and battery-operated tools.

+ Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.

+ Organize and store merchandise in the warehouse.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Follow safety regulations and procedures.

+ Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and assembly.

+ Knowledge of inventory management, shipping and receiving, and kitting.

+ Proficiency in order picking and operating RF scanners.

+ Ability to operate forklifts and perform general production tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in material handling, order picking, and shipping and receiving.

Work Environment

This role is set in a fast-paced but clean smaller shop. The position operates on the 1st shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm, providing a structured yet dynamic work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Loretto, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
