Job Title: Structures Technician

**Pay:** $35/hr - $45/hr

**Location:** Birmingham, AL

Job Description

As a Structures Technician, you will be responsible for conducting heavy structural maintenance and modifications on Boeing B717 aircraft. This role involves repairing and modifying aircraft fuel tanks, spars, aircraft skin, tail sections, fuselages, and more.

Responsibilities

+ Perform structural maintenance and modifications on Boeing B717 aircraft.

+ Repair and modify aircraft fuel tanks, spars, aircraft skin, tail sections, and fuselages.

+ Execute sheet metal fabrication and riveting tasks.

+ Conduct repairs and replacements on aircraft skin and spar.

+ Handle doubler, tripler, and stringer installations.

+ Carry out sealing and countersinking operations.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in aircraft structures.

+ Experience with aircraft modification and repair.

+ Proficiency in sheet metal repair and fabrication.

+ Capability in handling fuel tank and spar repairs.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Commercial aircraft experience preferred.

+ Experience with various platforms including ERJ, CRJ, and Airbus.

+ Must have personal tools (stored in a box, not necessarily shadowed or etched).

Work Environment

The role is based in a hangar setting, with a current day shift from Monday to Friday. There may be potential for additional shifts, so flexibility is preferred, although specific shift preferences can be accommodated.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
