• Data Analyst w/ Python

    Description

    Robert Half is looking for a Data Analyst with FP& A analysts experience to support a client in technology industry. This is a contract position.

     

    This is a hands-on role ideal for someone early in their data science career who’s eager to apply Python skills to FP& A challenges. This person will work closely with finance and analytics stakeholders to build tools, automate workflows, and extract insights that drive smarter business decisions.

     

    + Collaborate with FP& A analysts to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions

    + Develop and maintain Python scripts for financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting

    + Clean, transform, and analyze financial datasets to uncover trends and anomalies

    + Build dashboards and visualizations to support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles

    + Automate repetitive data tasks and improve reporting efficiency

    + Support ad hoc analysis requests from finance and business teams

    Requirements

    + 1-3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field

    + Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter, etc.)

    + Familiarity with FP& A concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis

    + Experience working with financial data and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar)

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    + Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

    Nice-to-have skills:

    + Experience with SQL or cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)

    + Exposure to financial modeling or corporate finance

    + Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative workflow
