Posting Summary
The Office of Animal Care Management ( OACM ) is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE ) Clinical Veterinarian to augment our current veterinary team of one University Veterinarian and two Veterinary Technicians, supported by a team of seven animal care staff, at the University of Vermont ( UVM ). Our research program uses primarily rodents, zebrafish, and biomedical pigs. OACM also employs a Business Manager and an Administrative Assistant.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
DVM or equivalent.
Vermont veterinary license within 6 months of employment.
USDA accreditation and DEA registration within 3 months of attaining VT veterinary license.
Good interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range $55,000 - $65,000 at 0.5 FTE
Other Information
Anticipated pay range reflects part-time.
Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Travel to and from worksites required, Background Check required for this position
