    Position Summary:

    The Revenue Cycle Performance and Training Supervisor is responsible for leading and training PFS revenue cycle performance initiatives while building and maintaining performance driven patient-centric revenue cycle training model. The role will encompass department and organizational end user skill enhancement and training focused on NeighborHealth, vendor, Microsoft and healthcare industry software or portals, revenue cycle policies and procedures, productivity protocols, and payer policies and regulations. Develops course outline, objectives, proficiency testing and class materials in conjunction with the PFS leadership team. Assists in the analysis of end-user requirements, procedures and problems needed to automate work processes or to improve existing computer applications. The trainer may act as a liaison between identified end-user and software vendors to resolve problems related to the assigned applications.

    Essential duties & Responsibilities:

    DELIVERS CLASSROOM, END-USER, AND SMALL GROUP TRAINING.

     

    + Leverage a variety of onsite and virtual presentation approaches.

    + Deliver high quality stand-up sessions as an instructor/facilitator.

    + Present the information in an orderly, easy-to-follow, and clear manner based on adult learning principles.

    + Facilitate skill building exercises in a fun, non-threatening manner. Involve trainees in the learning process.

    + Obtain assistance or offer to follow-up with trainees if an answer to a question is not known or requires further research.

    + Pace the class appropriately to the trainees.

    + Encourage trainees to provide feedback via course evaluation forms.

    + Arrive in time to make all the necessary preparations before the class begins.

    + Update the course script as needed.

     

    DEVELOPS TRAINING MATERIALS.

     

    + Creates and designs and maintains training materials.

    + Develops course outlines

    + Defines objectives of course.

    + Leverages Vendor tools, recordings, and independent user study where applicable

     

    COORDINATES TRAINING SCHEDULE.

     

    + Evaluates trainee needs and schedules into appropriate course offerings. Communicates training dates/times to trainee and manager.

    + Maintains the training schedule.

    + Works with the PFS Leadership to maintain the training database.

    + Assists in the implementation of system enhancements and upgrades.

    + Participate in vendor training or internal training on assigned system(s) or enhancements.

    + Assist in the design of testing plans for enhancements and upgrades and any required system building.

    + Implement Test plans for system enhancements and upgrades.

    + Provides end-user support as appropriate for the application and coordinates with the EBNHC IT Help Desk, Vendor, or Payor to provide on-going support.

     

    CONTINUING EDUCATION.

     

    + Maintain and develop new skills through participation in internal and external continuing education programs as appropriate.

    + Attends EPIC User Conference and formal training with certification.

    + Participates in payer, vendor, or healthcare industry events and training.

    + Performance

    + Leads Revenue Cycle Performance initiatives, identifies and actively manages revenue cycle revenue recovery AR follow-up.

    + Monitors and reports on end-user performance and productivity to ensure compliance and patient accounts integrity is upheld.

    + Maintains compliance, federal, state, and contractual rules and regulations are followed and managed.

     

    OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

     

    + Supervises and manages training staff and their associated performance.

    + Other duties may be assigned as needed.

    + Works together with the PFS leadership team on assigned projects or performance initiatives.

    + Participates in hiring assessment of candidate skill levels.

    + Actively contributes to the enhancement and development of people, process, and technology.

    + Serve on other health center committees as asked.

    EDUCATION:

    + Bachelor Degree or Revenue Cycle Healthcare equivalent work

    EXPERIENCE:

    + 5 to 7 years Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience

    + 3 to 5 years of Massachusetts payer healthcare experience

    + 3 to 5 years of EPIC registration and accounts receivable experience

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    + Ability to lead and manage 1 to 2 direct reports.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Customer service skills.

    + Demonstrated computer literacy skills as well as the ability and desire to learn new applications.

    + Project management, Presentation, and People management skills.

    + Knowledge of process re-design.

    + Domain knowledge in a clinical or healthcare business area.

    + Self-directed learner.

    + Epic Systems knowledge.

    + Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other proficiencies.

    PAY RANGE:

    Starts at $64,480/yr up to $99,840/yr based on experience
