    J** **ob Summary

     

    The Commercial Medical Collections Floater is a key member of the revenue cycle management team, responsible for supporting the commercial collections department by handling a wide range of collection tasks across various medical accounts. This role requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to different projects and accounts, ensuring that outstanding medical claims are collected in a timely and efficient manner. Floater will review accounts for completeness, accuracy, and any missing information necessary for payment. Research and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues that arise during the collection process. Floater will assist in overflow collections activities, providing support during peak workload periods.

    Job Requirements

    M** **inimum Education Requirement :

    High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

    Minimum Experience Requirement :

    Five (5) years of experience in commercial insurance collections. Knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices, and insurance processes specifically with HMO, PPO and Managed Medi-cal and Medicare products. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and patient privacy laws. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, analyzing, and reporting data.
