Description
Hoselton Toyota, Inc.** **is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dealership team! In this role, you’ll be the vital link between our customers and our technicians, ensuring every service experience is smooth, transparent, and professional!
As a** **Toyota Service Advisor** , **you will guide customers through the service process — from check-in to vehicle delivery. You’ll communicate service recommendations, prepare accurate estimates, secure necessary approvals, and ensure every customer leaves confident in the care their vehicle received.
Schedule and Compensation
+ Full-time schedule, typically Monday-Friday during our hours of operation and a Saturday rotation. No Sundays!
+ Compensation potential is in the $55,000 - $100,000 range, based on experience level
Responsibilities
+ Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately document service requests
+ Communicate repair and maintenance recommendations clearly and professionally
+ Estimate costs and time required for service or repairs
+ Obtain customer authorization before proceeding with additional work
+ Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate service
+ Keep customers updated on vehicle status throughout the day
+ Review completed repairs with customers and explain the work performed
+ Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Qualifications
+ Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or service center preferred
+ Strong communication and organizational skills
+ Ability to explain technical information in simple terms
+ Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) a plus
+ A team-oriented attitude and commitment to providing outstanding service

POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work and selling additional service to customers at dealership gross profit, dollars/RO and customer satisfaction standards.
DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
The Service Advisor is accountable for performing the duties and responsibilities described below. The list, however, is not necessarily an exhaustive description of the duties and responsibilities associated with the job.
+ Ensuring exceptional customer service to all Hoselton guests;
+ Greeting customers, scheduling service appointments and receiving vehicle information;
+ Listening to requests of the service desired and clearly explaining information on the repair order;
+ Interpreting customer concerns/comments, so that the technician will diagnose problems correctly;
+ Referring the technician to the customer and/or test-driving the vehicle to confirm source(s) of service repairs;
+ Translating the technician’s findings, which may be very complex, into language the customer will understand;
+ Estimating the cost and time needed to do the repair, considering the customer’s schedule;
+ Periodically checking on the progress of the vehicle and contacting the customer when technicians discover additional problems;
+ Obtaining customer approval to do additional work, explaining the work performed and the charges being billed;
+ Following up to ensure customers are scheduled for special order parts installation
+ Closing out repair orders in a timely manner; and
+ Resolving all guest complaints in an efficient and positive manner.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

+ Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
+ High School diploma required
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
+ High motivation, work ethic, and enthusiasm
+ Professional appearance and positive attitude
+ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Some computer knowledge and/or experience
+ Motor Vehicle Report required
+ Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
+ Must be able to pass a drug test

WORK SCHEDULE
Full time employees are regularly scheduled for 40 hours within the confines of our operating hours. All employees are required to take meal breaks in accordance with New York state law.
