    Pay Range:

    $91,700.00 - $150,800.00

     

    ProteinSimple is part of the Protein Platforms division of Bio-Techne (NASDAQ: TECH). We are rethinking protein tools and helping thousands of researchers around the world resolve their protein analysis problems so they can reveal new insight into proteins and their role in disease. Software is a key component in developing award winning bio-tech instruments for the life sciences industry. We are seeking a curious and driven software engineer to work with state-of-the-art software/hardware technologies amongst a very creative, motivated, and talented team.

     

    Use your strong knowledge of software engineering to expand the capability of our instrument and enterprise systems. You will collaborate with other software engineers and scientists in the development of analytical applications, enterprise business applications, working on design of graphical data presentations, algorithms, device communications, and complex data workflows.

    Responsibilities:

    + Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: planning, design, coding, testing, and deployment using Agile methodologies.

    + Design and implement efficient, reliable, testable, and maintainable code.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally within organization to deliver high-impact solutions.

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering).

    Required** **Qualifications:

    + 2–5 years of professional experience developing commercial or enterprise software.

    + Proficient in C# and the .NET framework.

    + Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS).

    + Familiarity with software design patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM).

    + Solid data analysis skills.

    + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + Experience with web technologies: ASP.NET, Entity Framework, SQL, NoSQL, Blazor, Microservices, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.

    + Experience with desktop applications: WinForms, WPF, .NET MAUI.

    + Familiarity with Java, Python, and other trending programming languages

    + Familiarity with Windows and Windows Server environments.

    + Cloud experience with Azure or AWS.

    + Exposure to Agile development practices.

    + Experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) in developmentprocess.

    + Experience with GMP/21 CFR Part 11 compliant software.

    + Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment

    + Experience interfacing with instrumentation, digital protocols, cameras, and motion control systems.

    + Background in molecular biology or scientific instrumentation.

    + Knowledge of statistics and signal processing.
