Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Land Acquisition Agent . The Land Acquisition Agent reports to the Project Supervisor . The primary job duties of this position include:
+ Research ownership, title history, and encumbrances of properties identified for acquisition.
+ Coordinates and negotiates with property owners, tenants, and legal representatives for the purchase of fee simple, easement, or use of private property.
+ Orders and reviews appraisals and prepare acquisition offers in accordance with fair market value.
+ Prepares or reviews legal instruments such as easements, deeds, and rights-of-entry.
+ Works with legal staff on eminent domain proceedings when needed.
+ Coordinates with engineering, planning, and construction teams to align property needs with project requirements.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.
This position has been designated as a Sedentary work position, spending most of the workday in an outdoor & office environment. About You

+ Bachelor’s degree in real estate, public administration, business administration, urban planning, or a related field.
+ 3 years of experience in land acquisition, right-of-way, or real estate transactions.
Licensing/Certifications:
+ Real Estate License
+ Valid Driver’s License.
+ Current Notary Public commission is preferred, but not required.
The first review of applications will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. If enough applications are received by this date, the posting may close. If the posting remains open, a final review will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, after the posting closes.
Anticipated Recruiting Timeline:
+ Posting Closes: December 8, 2025 (May close sooner if a sufficient number of applications are received).
+ Candidate Review: The First Review of applications is on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and then a final review on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, if the posting remains open after the first review date.
