We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate accounting and billing processes while contributing to our dynamic and expanding operations.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure all production records, including redlines and maps, are submitted daily with proper documentation.
+ Monitor, invoice, and reconcile work orders using customer’s web-based software.
+ Track job progress to completion and manage the Accounts Receivable (A/R) billing phase.
+ Utilize Excel to analyze and prepare month-end accruals for specific customer accounts.
+ Monitor and maintain customer accounts.
+ Assist with month-end reconciliations.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable management.
+ Strong Excel skills for data analysis and preparation of financial reports.
+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
+ 2+ years of related experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting preferred.
Work Environment
The Project Accounting team is a close-knit group of 12 members located across the country, with most based in Minnesota. After a 90-day in-office training period, employees work in the office four days a week, with the flexibility to work from home one day between Tuesday and Thursday. Additionally, there is an option every other week to work four, ten-hour days. The company promotes a flexible schedule, accommodating personal appointments. The office operates from 6am to 6pm, with core hours from 8am to 3pm. The work environment is supportive, with opportunities for internal promotions and growth. The corporate office is large and well-equipped, fostering a strong culture and tenure within the team. The company uses systems such as Spectrum (ERP) and UKG (Payroll) and is moving away from Excel usage. Located in a large, nice corporate office, the company has been operating since 1973, with a presence in multiple states including MN, IA, NE, MO, TX, CA, and AZ.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Lake, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
