    DESCRIPTION:

    Duties: Capture and groom fraud prevention requirements for sprint planning, lead scrum ceremonies, and ensure alignment and progress with project goals. Conduct and streamline data quality testing to ensure the reliability of data used in fraud prevention efforts. Provide input on design recommendations and information or data flows. Create Test Strategy and Test Plan documents, raise defects, provide test estimates, and create test artifacts such as test scripts and test scenarios. Develop automation test scripts and complex SQL queries to support testing and data analysis. Perform functional, system integration, and regression testing to ensure the quality and performance of fraud prevention solutions. Support technology and operations teams in fraud prevention initiatives. Develop and analyze dashboards to monitor fraud trends, potential fraud risks, and performance metrics. Conduct risk assessments and develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks in payment systems. Collaborate with data science teams to design, implement, and refine machine learning models for fraud detection. Ensure that all fraud prevention measures comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and adjust strategies accordingly. Balance fraud prevention efforts with maintaining a positive customer experience. Develop strategies to minimize false positives and reduce friction for legitimate transactions. Lead the conversion of MT messages to MX (ISO 20022 XML) format, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process. Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies specifically tailored for the MT to MX message conversion process, including handling update messages. Set up monitoring systems to detect unusual patterns or anomalies during the conversion process. Implement real-time alerts to quickly identify and respond to potential fraud attempts. Conduct workshops about fraud prevention strategies. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related for fraud prevention to drive continuous improvement and assess effectiveness.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Solutions Analyst, Business Analyst, Software/Application Developer, Software Engineer, Test Engineer, IT Team Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Solutions Analyst, Business Analyst, Software/Application Developer, Software Engineer, Test Engineer, IT Team Lead, or related occupation.

     

    Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: developing detailed mapping documents and transformation logic to convert standard NACHA, MT, SWIFT, and ISO payment message formats into JSON data contracts; refining payment attributes within fraud screening contracts into useable features by AI and ML models, algorithms, and detection rules for use in the prevention of fraud; ISO 20022 message MX formats, including PACS008 for credit transfers, PACS009 for FI to FI Transfers, PACS009 Cover for related transactions, and PACS004 for Payment Reversals; ACH and NACHA standards including file formatting, data elements, transaction codes, and following SEC codes; Prearranged Payment and Deposit, Corporate Credit or Debit, Internet-initiated Entry, and Corporate Trade Exchange; Industry-wide SWIFT MT messages, including MT103, MT202, and MT202 Cover for related transactions; developing detailed data contracts and API specifications in JSON and YAML formats leveraging Swagger; Agile, including burndown charts, Kanban boards, and velocity tracking; developing and executing SQL functions, joins, subqueries, and conditional statements to extract specific data subsets, perform aggregations, and generate actionable insights for stakeholders; developing and executing complex CQL queries to extract and analyze substantial datasets; Presto with AWS Athena, AWS Glue, and Data Lake; Alteryx to clean, transform, and analyze complex unstructured data from diverse sources, including databases, spreadsheets, cloud services, and APIs; using Alteryx tools Transpose, Cross Tab, and Summarize to restructure and prepare data for analysis; enhancing workflow automation by developing custom macros and analytic applications, to achieve efficient, repeatable, and scalable data processes.
