Position Responsibilities:
+ Develop, support, and maintain Company applications, as the Software Engineer, managing both the applications and infrastructure in a hybrid team environment
+ Act as a subject matter expert for the technical organization to Company applications, including patching, platform and database development, environment configuration through Ansible, report development using Jasper and Power BI, and exploration of new technologies through POCs as a software developer
+ Develop new mobile and desktop applications and provide support for these global logistics applications, participate in an on-call support schedule, and use databases such as Oracle or SQL as a software developer
+ Troubleshoot application performance issues and enhancements, and make recommendations to business analysts regarding design solutions as a software developer
+ Create deliverables according to the software development lifecycle, including functional and technical specifications, use cases, and test results as a software developer
+ Travel 5% of the time
+ Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 1 to 2 plus years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and 5 plus years of specific experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 3+ years experience working with databases like Oracle or SQL Server and programming with SQL and/or stored procedures
+ Experience with any Tier 1 Warehouse Management System such as Manhattan, Körber or Blue Yonder
+ Experience working with cloud-based services, Ansible, or any configuration management tool
