    Position Summary

    The Product Manager will lead ideation, development, and execution for a key product area within Omnicell’s IV Compounding Automation portfolio.

     

    This hybrid role is based at Omnicell’s Cranberry Township, PA office (Pittsburgh metro area) and partners with engineering, design, marketing, and operations to translate customer and business needs into actionable plans that deliver measurable results.

     

    You will help shape the roadmap, define success metrics, and guide products through the full lifecycle — from concept to launch and beyond — ensuring solutions that drive customer value, operational efficiency, and patient safety.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage the full lifecycle of your product from concept and development through launch, commercialization, and sustainment.

    + Shape the product vision, strategy, and success metrics aligned to Omnicell’s IV Compounding and Automation portfolio goals.

    + Translate customer insights, market trends, and business priorities into clear product requirements and prioritized roadmaps.

    + Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver solutions that meet performance, quality, and timeline objectives.

    + Partner with hardware, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure design for manufacturability, support pilot builds, and validate performance and reliability prior to launch.

    + Work with supply chain, quality, and sustaining teams to manage component lifecycle, field issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Partner with marketing, sales, and service teams to ensure go-to-market readiness, including launch planning, packaging, pricing inputs, and sales enablement.

    + Develop compelling value propositions and communication materials to articulate product differentiation internally and externally.

    + Monitor product financial, commercial, and customer performance to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, or satisfaction improvement.

    + Serve as a key advocate and subject-matter expert for your product, ensuring alignment and visibility across stakeholders.

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    + Strong understanding of market, industry, and technology trends impacting automation and healthcare.

    + Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and influence without authority.

    + Skilled at breaking down complex problems into simple, actionable solutions.

    + Proficient in modern product management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and similar tools).

    + Data-driven mindset; able to define and track meaningful metrics.

    + Excellent communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field

    + 3–5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or related business roles

    + Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and translating customer or market needs into actionable product plans.

    + Familiarity with automation, technology-driven or healthcare environments preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience developing or managing automation or healthcare technology solutions.

    + Customer-facing experience in a technical or consultative role.

    + MBA or Product Management certification a plus.

    + Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards such as USP <797> and <800>, and understanding of IV compounding workflows and pharmacy operations.

    + Demonstrated success supporting new product launches or lifecycle management.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

    Work Conditions:

    + Regular travel (10-15%)

    + Hybrid – Cranberry Township, PA (Pittsburgh metro area)
