Job Summary

Alta High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach to support our swim program. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Coach to develop athletes’ skills, foster team spirit, and promote both competitive success and personal growth in student-athletes.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in planning and conducting daily swim practices, dryland workouts, and conditioning sessions.

+ Provide individual feedback to swimmers on stroke technique, starts, turns, and race strategies.

+ Help organize meet lineups, attend meets, and support athletes during competition.

+ Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic responsibility.

+ Assist with communication to athletes, parents, and school administration.

+ Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations.

Preferred Skills:

Qualifications

+ Prior competitive swimming or coaching experience (preferred).

+ Strong communication and motivational skills.

+ Ability to work collaboratively with Head Coach, athletes, and families.

+ CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

+ Must meet all district and state coaching requirements.
