Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated candidate for its Adjunct Instructor - Pharmacy Technology ( Part-Time ) position in the Health and Public Safety Technologies department of the Academic & Student Affairs Division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of downtown Atlanta, Ga.
Under general supervision of the Dean of Health and Public Safety Technologies, the Adjunct Instructor (Pharmacy technology) will be a part-time faculty member that teaches in the Pharmacy Technology program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop essential Pharmacy Technology skills. This position involves creating and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall success of the students . Through classroom, lab, and clinical instruction, the instructor will ensure students gain the comprehensive skills, knowledge, and professionalism required for success as a Pharmacy Assistant. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. This position may require teaching mornings and afternoons and/or Monday through Friday. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses; develops program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate students' progress in attaining goals and objectives; prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Attend professional development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences, maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area.
• Meet with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues; assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• Teach pharmacy assistant courses in a classroom/lab/field environment that closely simulates the environment of the industry.
• Provide instruction in pharmacy technology; establishes, measures, and evaluates program or department student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success.
• Evaluation and advisement of students; evaluation of faculty and staff.
• Budgetary planning and management.
• Community involvement through the Pharmacy Technology program and Atlanta Technical College; serve on college committees as directed.
• Program administration with a primary responsibility for operation supervision, evaluation, and revision of the program concurrent with the Technical College System of Georgia standards and American Society of Health System Pharmacists Accreditation; and
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
• Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of verifiable in-field experience.
• Documented two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a Pharmacy Technology program.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and State of Georgia Pharmacy Technician.
• A valid driver's license.
