Position Overview
Leads the service delivery effort for various service organizations, both internal and external, ensuring best in class services levels are achieved at the lowest possible cost. Develops, trains, coaches, measures, and reports on the performance of the organization, ensuing delivery of a consistently high level of service that exceeds customer expectations. Focuses on continuous and proactive customer satisfaction improvement, expense improvement, and accurate expense planning, forecasting, and results reporting.
A Day In The Life
+ Directs both internal and external service providers including setting client expectations, managing multiple functions simultaneously, ensuring quality deliverables daily, and manages the operational budgets for each area. Business areas covered include, but are not limited to:
+ Cafeteria, Record Retention, Mail Services, Sample and Office Management
+ Coaches, trains and develops direct reports to be effective managers of their businesses and organizations. Ensures the collective team is lead in a manner consistent with Company Core Values and effectively communicates at all levels of the organization to maintain a consistently high level of engagement and team morale.
+ Oversee the entire sample management process. Work with direct reports in sample management to identify ways to make the sample lifecycle more efficient. Collaborate with merchandising stakeholders and senior leaders to evaluate sample processes, coordinate all strategy and style out meetings, align on requirements for storage and lead the sample donation process. Partner with events team on sample sale bonanzas, and other corporate events as required. Oversee office managers of NY and California buying offices to ensure delivery of best in class operational service and client satisfaction.
+ Accurately plans, accounts for, forecasts, and reports on expenditures in all areas of responsibility. Delivers departments expenses at or below budget. Has a continuous improvement mindset and is relentless in identifying and implementing expense reduction initiatives (PIC).
+ Proactively manages service providers including regular performance evaluations, feedback and corrective actions to ensure best in class service and competitive pricing. Tracks and improves vendor performance through the use of key performance indicators, ensuring consistent and timely measurement of vendor performance.
+ Supports organizational growth by staying current on business and organizational changes and adapting services and/or their delivery to meet changing business needs. Consistently monitors the service industry and current service providers to identify, evaluate and develop new, reliable service resources to replace underperforming vendors or to adopt new service offerings where appropriate.
You'll Come With
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting **.**
+ Minimum of 7 years’ experience successfully procuring and managing administrative services for a large retail company.
+ Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple service businesses simultaneously.
+ Strategic sourcing experience with a major retail company and demonstrated strong negotiation skills.
+ Experience leading a team of direct reports in different geographic locations. Developing a highly effective and efficient service organization to deliver best-in-class service across a wide range of administrative services that support different client groups.
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
+ Experience effectively managing multiple third-party service providers.
+ Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications; Outlook, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Reporting and Analysis Tools
