Overview
**NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence three days per week at one of our local offices, located in Allentown, PA (Lehigh Valley), Louisville, KY, or Providence, RI.** \#INDPPL LI-Hy
Under minimal supervision with a self-starter mentality, through the application of financial assumptions and economic analysis, this position supports management's decisions related to the way the company's financial targets are developed and attained. Key deliverables include the development of the five-year company business plan, monthly forecast updates and ad hoc planning scenarios used to support management decision making. This position also supports regulatory filings, regulatory mechanisms and rate case filings and support. The position will have extensive knowledge of holistic business processes and understanding of how the company makes money. Understands big picture concepts and provides support and leadership to junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
**Essential Functions** :
+ Responsibilities listed below can include Services Companies and individual Utility Companies and rate case support can include one or multiple jurisdictions.
+ Oversee the modeling of all complexity levels of the five-year business plan and monthly forecast updates as it relates to balance sheet projections, income statement forecasts, and associated analyses.
+ Solve complex business problems and analyze business results.
+ Develop complex scenario models for potentially new initiatives with inputs through the full financial cycle from financing to spending to recovery mechanisms.
+ Review completed PPL reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis including various budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual reconciliations and analyses.
+ Possess expert knowledge of regulatory developments and key economic trends impacting the Company’s margins and financial results.
+ Oversee junior team members as they perform analyses of financial results or prepare model scenarios.
+ Possess excellent relationships with Financial Planning customers, Budgeting peers and all other internal peer groups to promote timely and effective information sharing and understanding of shared focus areas.
+ Expert understanding in multiple areas of responsibility such as plant, treasury, revenues, tax, etc. and special project work as requested. Full understanding of how to critically review capital investment papers and cost evaluation models.
+ Review information used for regulatory filings including rate cases to provide testimony support, filing requirements and data responses. Provide support when designing ways to recover costs.
+ Lead the quarterly analyst calls by managing the accumulation of responses to potential questions for Q&A and review/provide data for slides supporting management scripts.
+ Prepare and present presentations to key stakeholders including executive management, the Board of Directors, rating agencies, and investment community.
+ Expert knowledge of UI Planner financial modeling system, including the ability to train junior employees on how to use the computer system to maintain relevant updates to system inputs that drive current and forecasted financial projections. Possess the expertise to modify standard reports when applicable or, if necessary, create ad hoc reports. Be able to lead system testing if needed.
+ Lead special projects identified by management with manager guidance.
+ Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and FERC Classification of accounts.
+ Uphold outstanding interpersonal skills for continuous interaction with all levels of management and administrative staff.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
**Required Education** :
+ Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, management, economics, marketing or related field.
Required Experience:
+ 7+ years in a finance related field.
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Advanced degrees including MBA, CPA or CGMA, as well as knowledge or experience in the energy/power industry.
