Amergis Educational Staffing is proud to partner with Schools in Medway and Natick to hire a compassionate and dedicated Reading Specialist for the 2025–2026 school year. + Location: Floating between Medway and Natick, MA
+ Start Date: ASAP
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm
+ Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
+ Pay Rate: Competitive, up to $55 per hour - based on experience
+ Provide direct reading instruction to students with mild to moderate reading disabilities
+ Deliver evidence-based reading interventions tailored to individual student needs
+ Administer and interpret standardized and informal reading assessments
+ Develop and monitor IEP goals based on assessment data
+ Participate in IEP meetings (annual, initial, 3-year re-evaluation, interim)
+ Collaborate with special education staff and multidisciplinary teams
+ Support inclusive practices by modeling strategies and sharing resources
+ Integrate instructional and assistive technology as needed
+ Maintain consistent communication with families and staff
+ Uphold professional standards in documentation, communication, and conduct
+ Engage in ongoing professional development
? Ideal Candidate Qualifications
+ Certified Reading Specialist or Special Education Teacher with Orton-Gillingham (OG) training
+ Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional/Behavioral Challenges, ADHD/ADD, Language-Based Learning Disabilities, Cognitive/Intellectual Disabilities
+ Strong collaboration and communication skills
+ Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered practices

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
