    Now Hiring: School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) – Santa Barbara, CA

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, in-person position in Santa Barbara, CA. This opportunity is guaranteed for the full 2025–2026 school year and involves working across multiple school sites, supporting students from Pre-K through post-secondary levels.

    Position Details:

    + Location: Santa Barbara, CA

    + Start Date: ASAP

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday (school hours)

    + Hours: 40 hours/week

    + Contract Length: 39 weeks

    + Pay Rates:

    + Local: $75/hour

    + Travel: $3,519/week

    + Setting: Across all school sites

    + Grade Levels: Pre-K through post-secondary

    + Caseload: To be determined

    Role Overview:

    The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting student evaluations, developing individualized therapy plans, delivering services, and documenting progress in alignment with each student’s plan of care. The OT collaborates with educators and other professionals to support students’ functional and academic success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

    + Provide direct therapy services to students

    + Document services and progress in accordance with school and clinical standards

    + Collaborate with school staff and families to support student goals

    + Travel between school sites as needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Current California OT license

    + Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)

    + One (1) year of prior professional OT experience preferred

    + School-based experience required

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB clearance (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
