    Special Education Teacher (LBS1) | $45/hr | Chicago, IL | Full-Time | Grades 4–8 | 39 Weeks

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring two full-time Special Education Teachers (LBS1) for upper elementary and middle school roles in the Chicago, IL area. These positions begin ASAP and run through the end of the school year.

    Position Details

    + Location: Chicago, IL

    + Start Date: November 10, 2025

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm (32.5 hrs/week)

    + Pay Rate: $45/hr

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Grade Levels:

    + 4th–5th: Co-taught Math & ELA, 30 students/classroom, 9 IEPs, para support

    + 6th–8th: Math, 30 students/classroom, 10 IEPs, para support

    Requirements

    + Valid Illinois teaching certificate with LBS1 endorsement

    + Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum age: 18
