    Program Manager

    Position Description:

    Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Contributes as a team member assisting the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Programs and the Student Success Center as deemed appropriate to meet the needs of the college and the students.

    + Strategically develops policies, procedures, goals, and outcomes for the academic advising office and responsible for advisors adhering to curriculum requirements including department, college, university and state requisites.

    + Assist the Assistant Director for Student Success in managing student concerns and needs.

    + Assists the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Programs in annual reporting.

    + Primary responsibility for college-level student advising.

    + Manage student-related processes and communications regarding grade changes, major changed, minor/concentration changes, etc.

    + Serve as the primary academic advising liaison to departments, registrar’s office, and etc.

    + Manage the Davis College Advisors Council meetings and agendas.

    + Assist in student related processes and communications regarding absences, withdrawals, registration (add/drop, grade changes) and case by case crisis situations.

    + Serve as a point of contact for parents and students regarding general academic and personal issues, meeting with students regularly to provide resources and support.

    + Responsible for coordination of commencement and commencement reception, working directly with the primary university commencement contact.

    + Support SSC staff in working with department chairs and program coordinators to update and manage undergraduate programs, degree plans and requirements, transfer credits, and course exceptions.

    + Assist in maintaining and auditing undergraduate student information/records to include the degree audit system.

    + Help process and award undergraduate degrees.

    + Serves as primary Davis College point of contact for DegreeWorks®, the registrar’s office, Curriculog® (undergraduate and graduate), the Davis College curriculum committee, Athletics, and others.

    + Assist in distance learning coding for the College (AgIdea; PSS students).
