Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for an _Operational Network Leader_ to join our Power Supply team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does an Operational Network Leader do for us?
As a frontline leader, they are responsible for the delivery of a secure, effective, efficient, reliable, and highly available Operational Technology (OT) network and infrastructure. The leader is responsible for actively promoting, managing, and executing OpsNet’s mission and values. They lead a team of employees, providing coaching, mentoring, and development to support individual and team growth. They lead the management of the OpsNet infrastructure and security requirements. They establish team priorities for projects, maintenance, and work management. They ensure team productivity and budgetary accuracy for the area of responsibility.

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

+ Various technical domains with cyber security application and principles
+ High-availability, disaster recovery, and system security practices and procedures
+ Technology, comprehensive, specific, and progressive knowledge related to discipline

Preferred:
+ Work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, computer science, cyber security, or engineering from an ABET accredited institution
OR
+ An equivalent combination of related education and experience
Experience:
+ Combined 8 years of experience in one or more areas: operational technology, professional IT system administration, IT cyber security, and engineering
+ Demonstrated ability to lead a highly technical team
Preferred:
+ 8 or more years professional IT experience leading high performance teams in a highly regulated, corporate enterprise environment
Licenses & Certifications:
+ Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
