About this Job

This posting is for a full-time 9-month, unclassified, faculty position on site at our Bossier Campus.

Anticipated start date is January 5, 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement:

+ Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution preferred.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with the intent to or actively pursuing a Master's Degree in Nursing.

+ Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered Nurse in Louisiana.

+ Current BLS - Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer Instructor certification preferred.

Experience:

+ A minimum of two (2) years experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting prior to appointment.

+ College-level nursing education teaching experience preferred.

+ Exceptional knowledge in the areas of medical - surgical nursing.

Skills:

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Ability to work well with students and faculty.

+ Exceptional organizational skills necessary to coordinate laboratory, classroom, and clinical setting.

+ Competence in the use of computer technology to deliver instruction.

Job Duties and Other Information

Instructor duties to include, but not limited to:

+ Instruction of students in nursing.

+ Contributions to the continued development of the curriculum.

+ Participation in professional growth and community service.

+ Maintenance of conference and academic advising hours.

+ Committee work.

+ Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
