Manager of Fixed Asset Management and Leasing

Reporting to the Controller, this role leads the Institute’s asset management function. The Manager ensures accurate project and asset-level records, provides both high-level and detailed analysis, and oversees the monitoring and maintenance of assets, leases, and capital projects within the financial systems. The Manager partners closely with leaders across departments to deliver project accounting, fixed asset management, capital expenditure reporting, year-end audit support, lease accounting oversight, and support for the annual capital budgeting process.

+ **Asset Management and Capitalization:** Lead the end-to-end asset accounting, including capitalization entries, depreciation, reconciliations, and issue resolution within the Asset Management module.
+ **Capital Project Oversight:** Manage project setup, resource assignment, spending review, capitalization, and closeout within the Asset Module.
+ **Lease Accounting Management:** Oversee lease accounting processes, supervise staff, partner with Finance teams, and develop/maintain policies aligned with applicable lease accounting standards.
+ **Budgeting and Reporting** **:** Build depreciation forecasts, lead the annual capital budgeting cycle, and deliver monthly capital variance reports for the CMC.
+ **Asset Inventory and Compliance** **:** Manage asset inventory and tagging processes, ensure compliance with external requirements, and advise on Medicare, Medicaid, and FASB regulations.
+ **Process Improvement and Systems** : Champion process and system enhancements to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and support Finance department objectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Proven ability to plan, lead, and foster teamwork within areas of responsibility; applies advanced technical and professional accounting expertise to ensure systems accurately control institutional activities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to instruct, train, develop staff, and present oral and written reports to leadership and other stakeholders.
+ Strong analytical judgement and problem-solving skills; able to translate complex issues and communicate effectively across all levels of the Institute.
+ Creative and adaptable; thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and manages multiple priorities independently.
+ Commitment to a customer service philosophy, with a responsive, solutions-oriented approach.

Masters in Accounting, Finance or other advanced degrees
Experience Required

5 years of accounting experience with progressive experience in hospital finance
3 years of directly related experience in the healthcare field in a management capacity
Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
$109,400 - $119,800
