    Description

    The Direct Support Professional provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

     

    Located in the heart of New Paltz, Joalyn is a coed home for eight very active and outgoing people --- each with his or her own distinct personality and goals.     A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

     

    HOURS: 25 hours/Sunday/9:00am-6:00pm/Monday and Tuesday/2:00pm-10:00pm

     

    STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable

    Minimum Requirements

    + High School Diploma or GED is preferred

    + Acceptable NYS Driver's License

    + Computer skills
