Job Title: Java Backend Engineer

Duration: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with a strong focus on building high-performance backend systems. The role emphasizes API development using Spring Boot, and requires deep expertise in MongoDB and Kafka. Experience with cloud deployment in AWS is essential.

Key Responsibilities

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

+ Develop and deploy applications in the AWS cloud environment.

+ Implement Kafka for event-driven architecture.

+ Accelerate backend performance through asynchronous processing and query optimization.

+ Work extensively with MongoDB for data storage and retrieval.

+ Participate actively in Agile development processes.

+ Maintain high code quality through testing, documentation, and peer reviews.

Required Qualifications

+ 6 years of backend development experience using Java.

+ Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

+ Proven expertise in API design, development, and documentation.

+ Solid experience with Kafka and MongoDB.

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud services.

+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

+ Experience in deploying applications on AWS.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $61087 - $104364 yearly

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
