    Under the direction of the Foreman, this position operates a vacuum truck used in utility construction. In addition, this position performs all general laborer duties, as needed, at a worksite.

    What you’ll do

    + Operates a vacuum truck in a safe and productive manner

    + Assists in maintaining onsite equipment

    + Maintains tools

    + Hand digs to locate utilities

    + Maintains daily inspection logs and graph logs

    + Loads and unloads equipment from trailers

    + Pot holes utilities

    + Knows all utilities and obstructions in work area

    + Loads and unloads supplies

    + Performs ground restoration

    + Performs general clean up

    + Maintains and properly documents DOT paperwork if applicable

    + Provides accurate daily timekeeping

    + Participates in weekly “Tool Box” meetings

    + Performs the duties of a laborer as needed

    + All other duties as assigned

    What you’ll need

    + To be 18 years of age or older

    + Authorization to work in the United States for this company

    + High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

    + Class A CDL is required

    + Previous experience operating vacuum truck is required

    + Ability to differentiate underground utility locate color codes.

    Physical abilities & exposures

    + **Routinely** : work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

    + **Occasionally** : work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse
