UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Operations Specialist to support our Investigational Drug Services (IDS) team. This role focuses on medication preparation, distribution, and accountability for clinical trials, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This is a full-time position that will work Monday-Friday daylight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and distribute sterile and non-sterile medications for investigational studies
+ Maintain accurate drug accountability and documentation per protocol and regulatory requirements
+ Ensure medications are stored securely and appropriately in all areas
+ Use computer systems to process and document operational workflows
+ Assist with policy, procedure, and training material development

+ Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required OR Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program AND one of the following:
+ Two years of previous pharmacy technician experience
+ Enrollment in good standing as a pharmacy student
+ Demonstrated competency in all detailed aspects of the Pharmacy Operations Specialists DESIGNATED area which includes (Inventory Control, Chemotherapy, Medication Safety, Automation, Information Technology..etc)
+ Experience in hospital operations including sterile and nonsterile compounding preferred
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Act 34
