    Job Description

    A client of Insight global is looking for a Structural Designer II who will be responsible for creating construction prints for transmission substation or transmission line projects. This role involves interpreting information from various sources to prepare sketches, drawing packages, and documentation. Key Responsibilities include:

     

    Develop or modify drawings where no established design exists.

     

    Interpret Ameren-approved standards and engineering guides using sketches, specifications, or verbal instructions.

     

    Produce various drawing types including: grading, foundations, steel structures, equipment layouts, equipment bill of materials, grounding, conduit, lighting, security plans, and other structural drawings as assigned.

     

    Review equipment manufacturers’ prints for design conformity.

     

    Maintain accurate records of work.

     

    Adhere strictly to Ameren’s standards, guides, and processes.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    3+ years in building structural design

     

    Proficient in AutoCAD Substation or transmission experience
