Job Description
Hourly Pay Rate: $55-$60
Under the direction of the IT infrastructure Manager, the Database Administrator (DBA) plays a critical role in the core IT function and is responsible for the design and maintenance of CEA data storage structures that will meet CEA security, data access, and business performance needs. The DBA is responsible for the data structures associate with core CEA programs including, but not limited to, the CEA insurance data system of record (EPA Center), Participating insurer Centralized Policy Processing (CPP), CEA Accounting (Great Plains), and the CEA Mitigation Earthquake Bolt & Brace (EBB) platforms. We require a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or equivalent with an emphasis on database theory. Microsoft Azure Data Administration, MTA, MCSE, or MCSA with an emphasis on database administration.
Designs, configures, and manages databases to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of the organization's data.
Implements standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration
Performs backup and recovery using Database Management Systems
Configures database parameters and implements defined data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements
Designs and implements approaches to improve database performance, capacity, and scalability
Makes updates to system related installation documentation
Works directly with Development and QA teams to aid in the delivery and improvement of inhouse developed applications

Skills and Requirements
MUST be a CA resident and sit in NorCal
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or equivalent with an emphasis on database theory
5+ years of Azure and SQL Server experience Microsoft Azure Data Administration. MTA, MCSE, or MCSA with an emphasis on database administration.
