    Job Description

    The Engineering Technician plays a key role in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of newly developed and highly complex semiconductor equipment. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to support new product introduction (NPI), improve manufacturability, and ensure the highest quality standards for Lam’s customers. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 2–4 years of related experience in equipment assembly, testing, or maintenance.

    • Mechanical and electrical assembly and repair experience.

    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and point-to-point wire lists.

    • Skilled in the use of hand tools for wire cutting, stripping, soldering, and crimping to meet build specifications.

    • Highly organized and comfortable working in a cleanroom environment for up to 12-hour shifts. • IPC-WHMA-620 and/or IPC-A-610 certifications.

    • Associate degree, technical certificate, or diploma in a related technical field (mechanical, electrical, or similar).

    • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, electro-mechanical systems, or lab/test environments.

    • Knowledge of metrology, bioengineering, or test equipment operations.
