    Job Description

    The Transport Engineer Role is responsible for providing end to end technical oversight related to the generation of equipment configurations and IP assignments. These projects focus on the expansion of the 4G, 5G and CBand networks. The candidate must have experience with Nokia 7705/7250 IXRE routers and be able to do configurations and IP assignments within the Nokia Service Portal. These responsibilities are essential to providing the Network Assurance teams with all requirements needed to stay on track with 5G and CBand cell integrations and activations. The position regularly works with Network planning on strategic initiatives, to develop future technology solutions, and features and growth jobs on existing products that support our infrastructure.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -5-7 years of experience configuring Nokia routers

     

    -Experience doing IP assignments and configurations on Nokia 7705/7250 IXRE routers

     

    -Experience reading and writing MOPS (methods of procedure) that can be passed on to the construction team to complete installs

     

    -Familiarity with transport equipment and the different areas of fiber required to build a network -previous Verizon experience
