    Job Description

    Insight Global is in need of a Sr C++ Application Engineer to help in creating applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support in their BMS platform. In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and a good communicator. You will ensure best practices are followed while being responsive in a dynamic and iterative Agile development setting. This will include helping to design, build, and maintain efficient, secure, reusable and reliable code while also identifying bottlenecks/bugs/devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. The compensation for this position ranges from $60-$70/hr based on years of experience.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 8+ Years of Application Engineering experience

    • At least 5 years of C++ experience

    • Solid understanding of object-oriented Design & Analysis

    • Solid experience of writing modular code that is clear, testable and maintainable

    • Strong Memory Management skills

    • Experience with Cyber Security aspects-specifically symmetric encryptions

    • Familiar with Test Driven Development, continuous integration and agile software best practices

    • Strong experience in debugging, profiling and optimizing code

    • Experience in algorithms and time complexity

    • Good verbal and written English communication skills. • Operating systems in general, Linux in particular

    • SQL and databases

    • Python

    • Network and communication (TCP/IP)

    • Open source usage
