Join the Supply Chain Materials Value Stream team and be part of the transformation at GE Aerospace! This dynamic team is at the heart of driving continuous improvement, delivering better outcomes for our employees, customers, and shareholders. As a Materials FLIGHT DECK Leader, this individual contributor role will focus on advancing our Lean journey through FLIGHT DECK activation, capability development, coaching, operating cadences, and problem solving. This role will coach end-to-end Value Stream Mapping (VSM), linking to upstream and downstream processes to enable a Connected Flow Supply Chain, and centralized Kaizen Roadmaps.
This FLIGHT DECK Leader role is embedded within the Materials Value Stream team to drive the Lean vision forward.
• Working closely with the Value Stream Team leader, Process Owners, and Materials org SMEs, you will play a critical role in executing the transformation by creating customer value and driving business performance.
• As a hands-on business partner, you will share accountability for business results by executing items on the Kaizen Roadmap, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting the process team in leading operating cadence activities such as daily management and operating reviews.
• Additionally, you will apply problem-solving techniques, lead kaizen events, and champion other FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to deliver meaningful improvements.
Job Description
In the role of Materials FLIGHT DECK Leader at GE Aerospace, you will be a pivotal force in integrating and advancing our FLIGHT DECK lean operating model within the Materials functions. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, ensuring our Materials operational processes are aligned with the core principles of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), with an unwavering focus on safety.
+ **Lean Leadership and Culture** : Champion the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, respect for people, and servant leadership across Materials functions.
+ **Strategic Lean Implementation** : Define and manage the implementation of lean standards and processes, ensuring seamless integration of FLIGHT DECK principles in both transactional and operational aspects.
+ **Operational Excellence** : Drive operational excellence by utilizing lean tools and methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics, directly impacting customer value and business performance.
+ **Change Management and Coaching** : Utilize exceptional change management skills to lead transformation efforts, coaching and mentoring teams and leadership in lean principles and problem-solving methodologies.
+ **Kaizen and Continuous Improvement** : Lead and facilitate kaizen events, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through hands-on engagement and coaching.
+ **Lean Strategy and Training** : Continuously develop the lean strategy within the Materials function, aligning with FLIGHT DECK principles. Execute comprehensive lean training programs to enhance team capabilities.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Work across the organizational matrix to align strategy and vision with business process improvements, ensuring Materials value stream operations contribute effectively to overall business goals.
+ **Performance Metrics and Improvement** : Define, track, and report on KPIs and/or TTIs, driving measurable improvements within Materials value stream operations.
+ **Demand Flow and Lean Tools** : Act as a change agent in implementing demand flow and utilizing lean tools to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste.
+ **Stakeholder Engagement** : Effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring technology and processes are positioned for success, aligning with GE Aerospace's strategic objectives.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university
+ Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain / Operations experience.
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and/or applying lean methods (Value Stream Management, Cell Design, 5S, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, Problem Solving, Kanban, lean transformations, etc.)
