The role you'll contribute:
Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Rehab and Wound Care, the Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician. Operates and maintains the hyperbaric chamber(s) and associated systems and equipment. Accompanies patients in the chamber while undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy, when deemed necessary by the Medical Director. Assists in the delivery of patient care appropriate to the level of his/her medical training. The Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for maintaining and educating the department with the most current applicable safety guidelines as dictated by the regulating bodies (i.e. NFPA 99). Key representative for the hyperbaric chambers as it relates to safety, maintenance, chamber system compliance, problem solving, department education. The Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for supervising, competency training, adherence to standards of care and safety of other staff.

Administers prescribed medication via inhalation and oxygen therapy according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments accurately and timely.
Educates patients and family members about illnesses and clinical interventions.
Adheres to department standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensures patient documentation is accurate and complete.
Cleans and stocks respiratory equipment regularly.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
High School Grad or Equivalent
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) Required
Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) Or
Licensed Paramedic (PARA)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
