**UW Medical Center - Montlake** has an opportunity for an **Assistant Nurses Manager** on our **Postpartum unit** . As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will share charge responsibilities and serve as clinical resource on night shift. You will provide leadership support for staff development and interdisciplinary coordination.
DEPARTMENT
+ We care for up to 18 postpartum mother/baby pairs with a family-centered focus
+ Certified WHO-Baby Friendly Hospital
+ We have experienced
+ bedside nurses and Lactation Consultants
+ Our patient population is ethnically and medically diverse
+ We are a quaternary care hospital, we see a high percentage of high risk OB moms and neonates with medically complex co-morbidities
+ Staffing is in according with AWHONN standards.1:3,4,5,(mother = 1 patient, Baby = 1 patient)
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Caring for Mothers with complex obstetrical, medical and social problems, in a Mother/Baby Unit setting
+ Attend Maternal Infant care department meeting
+ Lead nursing huddles and work collaboratively with Labor and Delivery team
+ Someone who thrives on an alternate work shift of a mix of evenings and nights
+ Inspires staff to be be creative, proactive and participatory in unit culture practice an policy
+ Excellent communicator
+ Be a self-starter
+ Manage patients, staff rounding and annual evaluation
+ Understands evidence based practice
+ An innovative problem solver who can run with a project
SCHEDULE
Full time, 90-100% alternate works shift (evenings and nights)
+ 90%= 12 shifts/month
+ 100%=14 shifts/month
REQUIREMENTS
+ Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
+ BSN or enrolled in BSN program
+ Relevant equal experience will be considered
+ Two or more years of current/recent inpatient postpartum nursing experience
+ BLS
+ Washington State RN license required by start date

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$98,448.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$178,824.00 annual
Other Compensation:
$10,000 sig-on bonus/ Relocation available
Certification premium $1.25/hr.
BSN premium $1.00/hr.
Evening shift differential $2.50/hr.
Night shift differential $4.50/hr
Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr.
