AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.
The role you'll contribute:
Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Lung Health Nurse Navigator is responsible for the full continuum of cancer patients from screening to detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship follow up. Additionally, the Lung Health Nurse Navigator oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of the Low Dose CT screening, the Lung Nodule Clinic and the Lung Cancer Navigation Programs. The overall goal is to ensure cancer patients are effectively and efficiently navigated through the health care system receiving appropriate care throughout the continuum to optimize support, educational services and to provide the communication link for coordination of care among the multidisciplinary health care teams involved. Responsible for establishing, building and maintaining strategic relationships between our community physicians and their office staff. Responsible for promoting, educating and marketing the Advent Health Wesley Chapel Lung Health Program to employed physician, community physicians and their office staff.

Educates patients regarding expectations before, during, and after diagnostic and treatment procedures, and develops and revises patient educational materials.
Builds relationships with community physician practices/groups to grow disease-specific inpatient and outpatient market share.
Engages and enrolls employed primary care physicians in the multidisciplinary lung cancer care program.
Promotes the Lung Cancer Care Navigation Pathway and multidisciplinary program to community and outreach programs.
Researches and develops tools and strategies to promote the Multidisciplinary Lung Program Pathway to area physicians.
Visits physician offices regularly, handles physician/physician office issues promptly, and initiates physician communications as needed.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's of Nursing Required **.**
2 Work Experience Required **.**
Driver's License (DL) Required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required
Registered Nurse (RN) Required
