**Austin Bridge & Road** Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a **Night Shift** **Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Superintendent** for a large-scale project in **Farmers Branch, TX** . This position involves providing daily supervision and coordination of civil and structural operations, including traffic control and maintain traffic within the limits of the project for the duration of the construction period, with a primary focus on achieving safety, quality, production, and schedule goals. Success in this role requires critical thinking, effective decision-making, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and coordinate activities of traffic control technicians and traffic control specialists
+ Ensure jobsite safety by complying with company policies, OSHA standards, and E.E.O. regulations, including conducting regular safety meetings
+ Guarantee high-quality workmanship through inspections of field construction work in progress and adherence to approved plans and specifications
+ Assist in establishing and administering traffic maintenance policies and standards
+ Plans, organizes and supervises all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations
+ Facilitate and integrate traffic maintenance activities
+ Provide timely response to technical questions of field operations
+ Supervise self-performed labor, material, and equipment cost management to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses.
+ Act as a liaison between owners, architects, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
+ Coordinate and supervise the Field Office Manager to ensure accurate records and reporting.
+ Perform inspections, allocate resources, and monitor the progress of equipment and materials.
+ Conduct additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of experience in large heavy civil projects, including TxDOT or highway construction
+ TEEX Work Zone Traffic Control experience
+ Experience with heavy highway maintenance of traffic; major main lane traffic switches, portable concrete barrier placement, striping, and lane closures
+ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is an advantage
+ Strong commitment to jobsite safety with a proven record of demonstrating safe work practices
+ Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
+ Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and consistently meet deadlines
Requirements:
+ Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures
+ Flexibility to work varying shifts, including:
+ Swing shift (12:00 PM to 12:00 AM)
+ Night shift (6:00 PM to 5:00 AM)
+ Availability for on-call work as required
