Position Overview

We are seeking a Full-Time Marketing Assistant to support SPGCT’s marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on the Southbury area.

This role is ideal for someone who is community-minded, organized, and creative — someone who enjoys connecting with local families, schools, and organizations, and who can bring SPGCT’s mission to life through events, social media, and meaningful communication.

You’ll work closely with our Marketing & Community Relations Director to help plan, execute, and grow SPGCT’s marketing presence across digital and community channels.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach

+ Represent SPGCT at community events, fairs, and school programs in the surrounding Southbury area

+ Build and maintain positive relationships with local partners (schools, pediatricians, libraries, town programs, etc.)

+ Support coordination and promotion of community-based events and workshops

Marketing & Communications

+ Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to reach families and referral sources

+ Create and distribute flyers, brochures, and other branded materials

+ Capture and organize photos and stories from events and clinics for social media and newsletters

+ Support internal communications, including staff engagement activities

Digital & Social Media

+ Assist with content creation and scheduling for social media platforms

+ Help maintain website updates and local listings

+ Monitor engagement, track growth, and report key trends to the Marketing Director

Administrative Support

+ Maintain marketing materials inventory and event supplies

+ Track outreach efforts and assist with marketing reporting

+ Support other marketing projects as needed

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or relevant experience)

+ 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination (internships included)

+ Strong writing, organization, and communication skills

+ Comfort representing SPGCT in community settings

+ Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

+ Basic graphic design experience (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite a plus)

+ Must have reliable transportation for local travel between events and sites
