    SUMMARY

    Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Grounds Worker Maintenance Tech II maintains school buildings and buildings’ grounds in orderly, neat, safe, and operable condition. To set the example in quality of work performed, demonstrating a positive attitude, loyalty, cooperation, teamwork, attendance, and safety.

     

    Work Schedule:Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, 255-day work agreement (year round)

    RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Maintains and improves buildings and grounds to ensure safety and functionality.

    + Performs mowing, trimming, spraying, aerating, seeding, painting, and snow removal.

    + Obtains equipment, tools, and materials required for completion of assigned work.

    + Troubleshoots and solves problems in an efficient and timely manner.

    + Prepares and maintains records to document work and repairs as requested.

    + Performs as custodial substitute as needed.

    + Works with minimal supervision.

    + Performs building maintenance and other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

    + General computer skills (email, data entry, etc.)

    + Class A CDL License required or ability to obtain within 90 days (pending testing site availability)

    + Spraying license required or ability to obtain within 90 days (pending testing site availability) - Turf (3T) and right-of-way (6) pest control

    + Pre-employment and random drug screens required

     

    Compensation:$19.50 per hour Benefits:
