    Description

    SAIC is seeking a **Senior Cyber Security Engineer** to manage advanced security measures to protect our systems and data from cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats. **This position is 100% remote.**

    The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    + ISSO supporting the Navy

    + Qualys, SCAP and ACAS vulnerability scanning and remediation

    + Utilized STIG information to deploy hardened IT applications and systems

    + Security assessment utilizing NIST cyber security framework

    + Evaluated, analyzed, and recommended changes to improve security posture(s)

    + Create documentation/artifacts to support critical assets and systems

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    + Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years’ experience; Master's degree preferred; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

    Required Clearance:

    + Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.

    Required Skills:

    + Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.

    + Proficiency with security technologies and tools

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    + Strong communication and leadership abilities.

     

    Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
