In this role, you will provide administrative support to the major program areas within the Office of American Indian Education. You will work to develop administrative procedures, respond orally and in writing to a wide range of technical questions, and will research and respond to emails from community partners. Duties include:
+ Providing administrative assistance and technical coordination for programs, projects or initiatives of the Office of American Indian Education, and as assigned by the Director;
+ Providing day-to-day office responsibilities such as answering voice and email communications as well as supporting the Director and staff in efforts to conduct business in an efficient and effective manner;
+ Serving as the division communications coordinator and web content manager;
+ Providing coordination for division budgets, procurement, and contracts.
Minimum Qualifications

+ Experience with word processing (such as MS word) to type and format letters, memos, reports, and meeting minutes;
+ Customer service experience, sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and via email;
+ Experience using spreadsheet software applications, such as Microsoft Excel, to enter, compile, store, and retrieve data.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Budgeting experience;
+ Communication plan development experience;
+ Experience with state or tribal governments;
+ Organizational skills across program areas and staff;
+ Ability to learn and work in Microsoft Office Suite, Ed Fi, Oracle, ZOOM, and GovDelivery;
+ Experience managing virtual and in-person meetings;
+ Ability to create and post web content
