The Manager, Payroll will lead payroll and time activities for the U.S. and Canada payrolls for Bausch + Lomb. This role ensures accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while driving continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the senior vice president, total rewards and HR operations, the manager will be responsible to process payroll and manage these processes with our outsourced payroll vendors. This position handles highly sensitive and confidential data and plays a critical role in financial reporting and the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Partner with outsourced payroll vendors (UKG and ADP) to complete payroll processing steps for hourly and salaried workforce, including payroll tax filings, and ensure timely issue resolution
Ensure accurate processing of regular payrolls as well as bonus, commission, one-time payments, and stock transaction payrolls
Audit payroll change reports and ensure data integrity across systems
Partner with HR administration and technology teams to ensure accurate payroll adjustments for new hires, terminations, and employees on leave
Liaise with Finance and Accounting teams to support payroll entry and accrual reporting requirements
Assist in maintaining payroll time and attendance system in coordination with HR technology team
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across payroll and timekeeping systems
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
Minimum 7 years of progressive payroll experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
Proven experience managing payroll for multi-state operations and working with outsourced vendors
Strong knowledge of payroll systems (UKG Pro, UTA, ADP, or similar) and HRIS integrations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
This position may be available in the following location(s): Bridgewater, NJ- Hybrid

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $115,000.00 and $135,000.00. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
