JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Product Catalog Platform, the Senior Manager, Product Catalog Platform will lead efforts to develop and maintain the Product Catalog Platform. Product Catalog Platform is designed to drive growth in digital commerce for Marriott International by delivering guests a holistic and integrated shopping experience across property, room and non-rooms products. This role will serve as the Product Lead for Product
Catalog Platform; partnering with engineering and stakeholders to build the platform roadmap and create solutions to deliver against digital commerce goals.
The Senior Manager, Product Catalog Platform collaborates across the organization to drive the launch, adoption and ongoing development of platform capabilities. This role will assist with the planning, management and delivery of capabilities that produce hierarchical property, product and rooms data across Marriott channels to create world-class guest experiences. The Senior Manager, Product Catalog Platform will capture business
requirements and work with teams to create and prioritize a roadmap + backlog of platform capabilities and enhancements. This position will be highly matrixed, with great collaboration and shared roadmap development with numerous business stakeholders. Alongside stakeholder alignment, our immediate teams are organized cross-functionally by squads that build remarkable products for Marriott International. The Senior Manager, Product Catalog Platform will drive a strong business vision, collaborate across squads, and focus on modernizing our tools and platforms.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
• Ten or more experiences around digital product development and/or software engineering
• Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities
• Ability to solve problems quickly, think strategically, and drive data-driven decision making
• Demonstrated comfort with generating and communicating strategic analysis and business insights to drive prioritization and build consensus
• Ability to build high-performing teams of leaders and drive a result-oriented culture
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity
• Dynamic interpersonal skills including being a team player and influencer that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments
and can influence without direct accountability
• Effective written and oral communication skills, sensitive to global communication needs
• Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Proficient in software products and tools that support current business practices and global teams (e.g., Office, Teams, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units.
• Experience with enterprise scale master data management (MDM) systems (e.g Stibo, Akeneo, etc.)
• Exposure to working with platforms spanning multiple languages and frameworks is preferred
• Ability to translate high-level business planning information into technology needs/solutions
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Cross-Channel Digital Commerce Platforms
• Work with engineering partners and cross-discipline stakeholders to develop and maintain Product Catalog Platform.
• Drive strategy, develop roadmaps, and lead the continuous improvement of Product Catalog Platform as cross-channel platform to better
enable digital products and customer experiences.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Digital, Distribution, Reservations, Sales, Revenue Management, Global Marketing, Brand, etc.
• Work with Change Management to create training plans, timelines and POC to drive the adoption and usage of Product Catalog Platform.
• Serve as the SME for Product Catalog Platform capabilities; serve as the business knowledge center for all Product Catalog Platform does and
will do in the future. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends; serve as a catalyst for the adoption of new capabilities and ways of
working/thinking.
• Continually update, refine and enhance product definitions, taxonomies and data models covering all Marriott products and services.
• Develop a multi-year roadmap to deliver long term goals for digital commerce.
• Prioritize features and capabilities and create epics and stories in partnership with engineering and service provider partners.
• Manage teams made up of associates and third-party consultants, both onshore and offshore.
• Collaborate across teams and creatively solve problems to constructively balance priorities and overcome or remove blockers required to
successfully deliver a new product or feature.

• Deliver capabilities to modernize Marriott property, rooms, non-rooms data across owned and approved third-party channels.
• Champion the integration and enhancement of emerging businesses (e.g. HVMI, All-Inclusive), outlet (e.g. F&B, Spa, Golf, etc), non-rooms (e.g.
cabana, insurance) into Product Catalog Platform.
• Take great care and craft for designing systems and building applications correctly from day one, with appropriate planning and communication
of delivery. Promotes and advances business decisions with the “end-user” in mind.
• Champions both “do no harm” and “clean slate” approaches to conducting business. Proactively recognizes technical debt and creates plan for
appropriate retirement/decommission. Follows “do no harm” principles to ensure new Catalog Platform delivers on RTB requirements.
