Responsible for the selection, evaluation, and on-going monitoring of managers; developing risk and investment guidelines; completing special research/due diligence studies. May work with senior members of the research team on specific managers, strategies, or projects. Analyzes investment performance data, perhaps with the assistance of other staff. May have assigned responsibility for specific asset classes and/or for monitoring/ongoing due diligence for specific managers.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Source and maintain competitive array of traditional long-equity and fixed income managers and funds through professional network, third-party manager/fund databases, industry capital introduction events and conferences and unsolicited inquires. Narrow list of potential candidates using variety of quantitative and qualitative assessment tools, conduct remote and on-site due diligence meetings with managers/funds and present recommendations/assessment results to Manager Evaluation Group for consideration. Maintain on-going due diligence/monitoring of all recommended/approved managers and funds. Consult with existing and prospective clients, internal sales force and centers of influence as required. Promote greater awareness of firm’s manager research capabilities and serve as ‘subject matter expert’ on manager research/due diligence process and assigned manager/fund coverage array. Develop personal professional network through meeting with new or existing managers/fund complexes, and through attendance/participation in capital introduction and industry conferences as required. Monitor existing managers and produce periodic updates/reports for internal (and client) use. Lead or facilitate periodic manager/fund calls and contribute to production of all investment communications relating to recommended/ approved managers and funds.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree 3-5 years of experience in investment related field Solid understanding of capital markets and investment strategies. Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively across various constituencies
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA Investment certifications such as CFA and/or CAIA 5 years of experience in manager due diligence
