The Strategic Development team defines “what’s next” for Comcast by forging transformative partnerships and building new growth businesses. We identify, negotiate, and manage high-impact deals with industry leaders including Verizon, Netflix, Amazon, Google, YouTube, Charter, and others. Beyond partnerships, we source, evaluate, and champion strategic investments and M&A opportunities that accelerate our core businesses and establish footholds in emerging markets. Job Description
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development & Partnerships for Comcast’s Connectivity & Platforms (C&P) Division will drive growth by shaping strategic partnerships, leading high-impact negotiations, and unlocking new market opportunities. This executive will define and execute strategies that expand Comcast’s reach, strengthen its market position, and deliver long-term value, while overseeing the identification, structuring, and execution of transformative deals aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.
Deal Negotiation & Management
+ Lead negotiations with strategic partners, ensuring alignment with Comcast’s business objectives and maximizing long-term value.
+ Oversee contract structuring, partnership terms, and performance accountability.
Business Development & Growth
+ Proactively identify, evaluate, and secure new partnerships to drive growth, products and strategic value supporting the C&P division’s businesses and strategic objectives. Support the leadership in partnership development.
+ Build and maintain a robust pipeline of industry relationships, partnership exploration and new commercial alliances across technology, media, telecommunications, and adjacent industries. Collaborate cross-functionally to design, integrate and launch new partnerships successfully.
Strategic Leadership
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and partnership opportunities.
+ Develop and implement long-term strategies to strengthen Comcast’s role in the connectivity and platforms ecosystem.
+ Represent Comcast C&P in industry forums, negotiations, and external engagements.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
+ Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing business development team.
+ Partner with product, technology, legal, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of deals.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, agility, accountability, and results-driven performance.
Growth & Innovation Initiatives
+ Define and execute Comcast/Xfinity’s partnerships strategy to support growth across broadband, streaming, mobile, and emerging products.
+ Source, negotiate, and structure strategic alliances, licensing deals, and joint ventures.
+ Maintain and expand relationships with existing partners to ensure long-term alignment and value creation.
+ Influence product roadmaps by integrating insights from market trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
+ Establish and oversee processes for evaluating, prioritizing, and managing strategic opportunities.
+ Ensure compliance and regulatory standards are embedded into all partnership agreements.

The successful candidate will bring proven success in identifying and delivering new businesses, platforms, partnerships, content deals, and business models that drive innovation and growth, along with a deep understanding of traditional and emerging media, technology, and communications trends.
This executive will be dynamic, creative, positive, and influential, with strong communication skills and the ability to represent Strategic Development and Comcast effectively both internally and externally.
Must have 15+ years of experience in corporate business development, partnerships, or alliances.
Must have 15+ years in a relevant industry such as telecommunications, technology, media, or entertainment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Economics is required, with an MBA strongly preferred.
The role is based in the Philadelphia area and requires willingness to travel as needed.
